AgriSuite is a suite of free web-based decision support tools developed by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). The tools on AgriSuite can help you determine the best management practices for your farm that will:
- save money by improving the amount of fertilizer and other materials used
- reduce the environmental impact of on-farm generated nutrients
- protect drinking water sources
- reduce soil erosion
- maintain soil productivity
- manage the beneficial use of off-farm wastes on agricultural land
At this workshop, you will learn about the new AgriSuite tools available, how to use them, and prepare a custom Field Management Plan.
What to bring? For the hands-on portion, please bring:
- A laptop/tablet (recommended) or smartphone to access AgriSuite online
- Set of information for a field of interest (for example, soil tests, crop and yield history, records of manure/organic amendments and fertilizer applied – note that this information is not collected, it is for your use).
A free lunch will be provided afterwards.
