Southern Ontario	Catfish Creek	For Elgin County only: Elgin Clean Water Program	The Catfish Creek Conservation Authority undertakes projects such as traditional erosion control, fish and wildlife habitat enhancement, species at risk protection, and delivery of provincial/federal programs (e.g. Greencover) on private lands. (This could include technical advice or funding assistance.) If you are experiencing a problem with controlling erosion on your land, please contact the Catfish Creek Conservation Authority office for assistance. Farms in the Catfish Creek watershed are eligible for the Elgin Clean Water Program which is delivered by the Catfish Creek Conservation Authority. Landowners interested in participating in the program are asked to contact Catfish Creek Conservation Authority for a field visit in order to discuss details of the program and project review/design, construction and permitting. Southern Ontario	Upper Thames River	Through the Canadian Ag Partnership (CAP) and Clean Water Program (CWP)	Provides links to OSCIA website for CAP and to the CWP. Under the latter program, landowners in the Thames River watershed are eligible for a $30/acre incentive (to a maximum of $3,000) for cover crops. Farmers can also apply for 50% cost share, up to a maximum payment of $500, for nutrient management plans. Soil tests are eligible costs under this program. Projects may be eligible for a 70% grant when CWP is supplemented with EFP funding, or when landowners have activities on their property that may pose a significant threat to a municipal drinking water source.
